Title: Why does it take many hours to get a PM email notification?

I have noticed that I can receive a PM by looking in my BYOAC account but the actual email notification sent to my home email address takes about 5 hours to arrive.   Why does it take so long for PM email notifications to be sent out?

Interesting ... I got a PM tonight ... notification with a few minutes of the posting.

I get them pretty much immediately.

Well it is weird then.   I can view my PMs via BYOAC and then I get the email notifications about 5 hours later.

Sounds like a problem on your email servers end. I get my notifications pretty much instantly.

Yes, there is no delay on our side. As soon as it's posted, a mail is sent. I just timed it, and I see it takes the forum about 2-3 seconds to get it to the SMTP we run and move it on its way.
