Hi,
I have just purchased another Jamma machine for restoring. It has cracks and peeling around the glass that goes over the monitor and is painted on the inside.
I was thinking of removing all the old black paint and repainting it, but I’m not sure what I should be using to repaint it with?. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks
I was going to try a can of this: B&Q Site (http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9254151&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB&fh_search=black+tile+paint&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=search&ts=1197224491227&isSearch=true)

Are you talking about the bezel part of the wood the glass rests on? Just paint it if its paint and not vinyl. I wouldnt spray paint it though.
I suggest a roller or brush, then sand, repaint, sand, paint and then some clear gloss.
But not spray paint.
You'll regret it later.

Hi Spaced Ace,
I need to paint the back of the glass itself.

You would think that if the paint is ok for tiles - then glass should be ok. May be a bit unpredictable viewing from the inside (may not have the same glossy sheen or appear bumpy or un-even ) - maybe test on some old glass first.

I agree, test it first...
But for some reason spray paint reuns extremely bad on smooth surfaces, even if it is laying flat.
I know it sounds stupid, but once I made a really cool glass bar sign with a thick black magic marker. I had to 'paint' a tattoo design on a piece of glass and just used 2 really big magic markers instead of paint.

Use the same method of repairing pinball backglass peeling as described here (http://www.pinrepair.com/restore/index1.htm#bg).

I used my spare black rust-olium spray paint when I needed to repaint the black boarder on one of my glass bezels. It has been about 2.5 years and still looks good.

Thanks for all comments. I did it with the Plasti-kote tile Spray and it looks like new. It also dried very quickly.
