I need a replacement for the 2watt 68 ohm fusible resistor found on a G07-CB0 ...
Picture below:
The legs on mine are all corroded and one snapped off. The resistor itself looks burnt and a little bulgey.
I need this right away. If anyone has one and could drop it in the mail Monday, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
PM me.

I don't think that's a fusible resistor, just a standard ceramic for heat dissipation. (hence it's a 2W)
Oops.... just looked at the schematic and parts list ..... it is listed as a fusible resistor. (FR401)
I'm surprised. Certainly looks standard.

fused resistors are "flameproof" and are either "wirewound" or metal oxide in construction of the resitive element
the ceramic resistor you have requested has a metal wire wound on a core and cemented in a ceramic case.
any 68 ohnm 2w metal oxide resistor should work just fine.
be sure to maintain the device spacing above the pcb for proper air circulation ...

Thanks for the tip QRZ. I located a new replacement. (Very small in comparison to the original! )

As long as it's no carbon or metal film resistor.....

for kicks ,
the square root of the wattage rating times the resistance will give the maximum "pre-smoke" voltage
that can be applied to a resistor.
note: good design engineers usually will not exceed 75% of maximum

Umm... ?
As long as it's fusible, won't it work?
