I cancelled my order with x-gaming and rather than buying a premade panel I'm building my own (in keeping with this site). I ordered a pre-cut 4 player panel through mameroom and I am planning on using the HAPP competition joysticks, IPAC encoders for the joysticks, spinner and trackball. Any benefits from going another route?

Do what you like doing, can't go wrong.
You like building it yourself, welcome.
You don't, that's ok too...
One comment ... if you're working up to building
a whole cab vs just a control panel, you're better
off getting your own wood and drilling your own
panels most likely

Good choice sir! :applaud:
Have you thought about building the whole control panel from scratch? You will get much more satisfaction playing games with a controller that you have crafted with your own hands :)
Even if you buy a premade panel and mount and wire the controls it still beats buying a ready to go panel.
Don't be scared about building a panel yourself, even if you do not have many wood working skills. As you may know there is a wealth of information on this board and many people who will be willing to help you along the way. :)
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
