Very nice -- I'd like to see one for the IPAC too ... :applaud:
Its something I'm going to be involved with soon...
-
Thanks :)
Well hopefully it helps somebody... Certainly a little easier having a printoff of this next to what you are soldering :)
I'll update the (Pic) V C X Z A S Q etc's to what they actually are tomorrow.... ie 1P UP, 1P DN, etc....

I thought one payer up/down/left/right connect to the pins marked up/down/left/right arrows?
-
I was just using them as examples.... Anyone want to run through the letters above and I'll update the diagram again.... Like to hear from someone whoi uses these...
There are some i'm not sure about because of the Shazzam etc....
ie
P2 Button 1 = A
P2 Button 2 = S

I have a diagram somewhere with all the pins identified for mame, I will have to find it and post it later.
BTW, great work on posting this info, I could have really used it a couple of years ago when I wired my first eco2.
-
Thanks
That would be great... I just dont want to fill in the A,B,C 's etc wrongly... If you can email me the
info with what all the letters and numbers equate to I'll modify (For the last time lol) the pic again...
either to maxmix@tiscali.co.uk or hd@hhd.co.uk or just send it to both lol

Youve got mail.

Nice - when I got my Keywiz a year ago, I did a continuity test to get the pins right, this is much easier!
-
Well here we go... Revision 3 of the picture and special thanks to 'DaOld Man' for some more diagrams....
I managed to convert them easily.... Going to run through about 10 button panels next week with my diagram lying next to me lol (Randy have you still got loads of these in stock ?) ;) (Should be around 15 mins each now :) )
All pictures updated....
Enjoy

Thanks everyone, this is Awesome! I have my 40 pin wired up AND working properly.
Now for a couple of questions....
I have player 1 and 2 start, but no button for coin 1 and 2. How do I get MAME to 'accept' coins when the game starts?
Also, I remember seeing it somewhere, but can't find it, how to get around the 'OK' at the start of games?
Thanks for the help!

You either need to wire buttons in for the coin inputs (clever trick is to put a microswitch on the coin-reject buttons if your cab has a coin door), wire the coin mechs themselves to the inputs (or both), or many games have a freeplay setting on the dipswitch menu.

Thanks for the help!
Wiggle joystick left or right and play the game once. If you want to bypass all the screens, see the hi-score patch thread in the software forum, but you have to compile a custom build.

Sorry to dig up an old topic - but has anyone done a similar diagram for the GPWiz Eco No Solder version...? Randy?
Thanks!
