The idea of the instep at the back would be that I could then place the cabinet flush against the wall, in my house I have a fairly large skirting board, plus this would also allow me to place it in front of a mains socket and still get easy access to it if needed.

I've finalised the design at last and the cabinet will seperate into three sections (top,bottom,cp) by simply undoing a few quick-release bolts.Hey GSXR, can you expand more on how exactly the sections join together (especially the top and bottom)? Is it sturdy? Being able to partially disassemble a cabinet to get it in and out of the house sounds MOST useful!
