I ordered a control panel from x-arcade in October for a cab I built. The panel was is an XXL model that was supposed to be delivered in October or November. I haven't received the panel and have gotten emails saying I won't see it until next year. Needless to say I'm frustated I am held up by this.... From what I've read SlikStick doesn't look like an alternative. Any suggestions for a place to buy a panel?

You won't see me nominating a company. Those guys have been unpredictable.

try Jack at www.arcadesrfun.com
Jack is a poster here. Solid quality and he has good customer service. I am very happy with my panel.
-
Knievel does excellent work. He's got a website too - Knievel's Kustoms or something like that.
-
Arcadeshop.com has some ready-made panels for sale.
-
Doesn't anyone on this forum provide that kind of work? I'd be surprised if no one did. Making a panel is kind of fun but could be a lot of work.

Knievel does excellent work.
Kaytrim does also. Look in B/S/T.

I recommend Jack from www.arcadesrfun.com. He's about the same price as all the other guys, but his stuff is customized to EXACTLY what you want for no additional charge! And he's awesome with suggesting stuff to help you build the control panel of your dreams. Again, highly recommended.
By the way, I ordered an X-Arcade tankstick XXL MAME Edition too, but I canceled the order in October because they kept pushing back the delivery date. (Back-ordered). I ended up using the $99 towards Jack's design and then I decided to save another $100 by putting the components in myself. It's easier than you think.
One last thing. I spoke with Scott Glazer from www.mameroom.com on the phone today and it's official that he is taking over SlikStik's panel building. You can order a pre-made Slikstik panel from him and it will be delivered in no time. He is very reliable and has a good reputation.
Good Luck!

When I contacted him about a month ago, he told me that he no longer has time to build custom control panels anymore since he has a couple of kids to tend to and cannot find the time. That may have changed since then since it's been about a month since I last asked. However, he DOES still sell pre-cut control panel tops for $99.
His website is: http://www.knievelkustoms.com/
Make sure you check out his "Neon Mame", "Flyercade" and "X-men Arcade" which has excellent examples of his control panel designs.

Shame you are not in the UK. Turnarcades build complete custom control panels, made to measure.
:P

Timoe was doing some nice custom sticks a while ago. Timoe's Mini Sanwa Sticks (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=66008.0). Maybe he does bigger control panels too?
-
Yeah Timoe was building full sized control panels at one time. He build a two player with trackball for me around a year ago. Excellent work.

There's no comparison between XGaming and SlickStick.
The key difference, as stated on the XGaming XXL order page :
YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL ITEM SHIPS.
http://www.x-arcade.com/mame-panel.shtml
I appreciate the delays are frustrating, but rest assured that XGaming are a reputable company. They are NOT trying to fleece your wallet and "do a runner".
SlickStick, on the other hand, charge their customers up-front, for goods that haven't been delivered :

BTW, the price of the XXL has increased $20 since the original announcement of this special price. It was originally $99.95, but is now $119.95.
