They make a pretty good Windows XP emulator for Vista!
:laugh2:
...and man do I love the latest Mac commercials...which I usually hate, but they are really stickin' it to Vista hard.

So Basically I just wasted a ton of cash ;D Thanks for the laughing avitar,
If I wanted to can I install XP on this laptop, and get better performance?
If XP is faster, uses less resources, has better compatibility, do you think Vista will fade away and be taken over by a newer XP'ish OS in the future? Is Vista the new Windows Millenium, a Microsoft Brain Fart?

as with any operating system for me ...... I never update to a newer version until I am forced to do so ...... why complicate things ....

Vista came bundled with mine; I resized my main partition and installed an nLited version of XP on a new partition. Best of both worlds...
EDIT: Forgot to mention that Vista 64-Bit Ultimate Super Duper Triple A Plus Texas Hold-Em Edition came with my lappy. I don't really feel like I'm able to take advantage of the 64 bit architecture as most of the applications I use are 32 bit...

Most of the emu's I have tried on vista do work without issue's, off the top of my head mame, zinc, nulldc, winuae, mess, model2 but as other's have pointed out XP is really the better choice to run emulator's. Why not do as XyloSesame did and partition an XP install???
Regards.

So when you set up the other partition for xp, how do you switch or choose what os to run?

I heard the other day that XP is faster than vista on the same hardware...
It makes me laugh that Dell (in Australia anyway) still offer a choice of Vista or XP) on business machines. Normally they push the new OS heavily.
