I bought the kit that is specifically for changing over a DK Jr. to a switching power supply. Unfortunatley, it came with no directions so I'm kind of lost. Take a look at the picture, this is what came in the box. I thought I would be able to plug the 9 and 10 plugs directly into it but apparently that's not the case. There is one plug hooked up to the switcher and one plug just dangling free as in the picture. How do I hook these all up?

Thanks, Ken. Makes tons of sense. But how do I use this knowledge to install the kit? If I was starting from scratch I would do it as Bob has laid out, but I have this kit which is supposed to make it easy. :dizzy:
Does anyone have pictures of their setup?

Ok, the pieces are starting to fall together (I think).
Here's what I'm thinking...
The plug from the switcher plugs somewhere into the cpu board.
The extra dangly cable plugs from the cpu pcb into the video pcb.
The light bulb went on when I read this...
NOTE: Nintendo 2-board sets that use this pinout
require a 10-pin Rainbow Cable to supply power
from the CPU pcb to the VID pcb.
Does my line of thinking sound correct or am I risking a severely burned up board and corpse?

What do the labels on those connectors say?
