Currently investigating the G07 that is in my Centipede cab (see the thread under Arcade Misc.)
When I got it fuse F901 was open. I checked the HOT. There's NO short between the metal of the transistor and the chassis GND. I do measure a short between the HOT's legs. (sounds like someone from MASH ;D) Is that normal ?
I replaced F901 and powered up, nothing happens on the monitor. F901 does NOT blow.
I checked the 110 VAC (120 ?) going to the monitor. It is fine as long as the monitor is NOT plugged in. However, as soon as the monitor is connected, the VAC goes way down to around 8 VAC !?!?!
The other (big) Fuse was, and is still OK.
Any suggestions from the monitor cracks here ?
Thanks !

reading a short between the base /emitter junction of a hot IN CIRCUIT is normal . the low reading is due to reading the low res of the drive xformer. some hot's do have an internal res between the base/emitter .
47-100 ohms typical
as for the dropping AC , check continuity from plug to pcb ( should be < 1 ohm) . cold solder joints etc.....
