http://www.xe.com/
make it before tax so we are all thinking in the same terms...
edit: just your own income too. not spouses.

The link didn't work
-
I chose my US wage, but luckily enough when I converted it it fell in to the same category (just toward the end instead of the beginning).
-
Danny, are your next polls going to be "where do you live" and "what time are you out of the house"?
-
Combined household income or just the individual?
-
I didn't read that we were using AUD so I did US and when I converted it I should have moved up a tier, but it's not giving "change your vote" as an option.
And the link didn't work right for me either, I had to go to the home page of your link, so here is a link to that http://www.xe.com/ (http://www.xe.com/).

The Australian and US dollar are so close these days it won't make a great deal of difference.....

And, where do you hide your extra house key so i can "unlock" your door and steal some of the "money you earn per year". ;D
-
Heh, at least the US dollar is still worth more than Aussie cash. ;) ;D Damn it's a sad day when the Canadian dollar is worth more.
Anyways, a neat poll but still pretty worthless considering different local factors effect what money is "worth", and thus effects the size of salary. Where I live, $50k is living high on the hog, but in a different area it is poverty level.
-
fixed the link. also, i did say for only your own income. im quite surprised at how many are over $100k :o goddam richers ;D looks like im on the poorere end of the scale, income wise
shardian, yes there are always local factors that make what you earn worth more or less than the same amount in a different area or country. for instance if you earnt $100K in india you would have a house servant and a chauffeur! but, most of us live in civilised 1st world countries and ive been to most of the ones you guys live in and i can safely say that it is still a useful comparison- unless you live in london...

yes ;D

That's kind of a personal question, don't you think?
-

then dont answer it ;) . but you'll notice no one has mentioned what they voted for. so we can get an idea without knowing personal information. bit like an election! but im happy to say that im the only one in the 30K-40K range at this time
edit: well, i should say im happy to tell you. not particularly happy about the actual amount ;)
-
The question should have been asked in terms of the Big Mac index.

This is not a "normal" income year for me as the site I was working for was going through a shutdown process and I transferred to another site in another state. My wife and I both got 'shutdown' bonuses, and they shorted the hourly workers, then overpaid us to compensate.
I'm already shuddering to see what our total income will be -- I know for me alone I'll make over $100k, but, as I said, that's not normal. I expected to make about $80-85k at the start of this year. I think the wife and I will clear $150k on our final W-2's -- we'll have to just wait and see.

in which case, if you ticked the $90K-$100K it would be pretty close. ball park figures are fine for this sort of poll...

yes ;D
Perhaps you could cross reference these polls with Drew's "Do you lock your doors" poll and identify some prime targets.

Yep... where I live, and it's only a few hundred miles east, $50k means you can't even afford to shop for a house nevermind buy one.

Yep. Here I have a nice 2000 SQ FT house with a garage and I only pay $450 per month for mortage and escrow. In metro areas of the states, a house like that would cost about $2000 per month.
-
I would have responded to the poll, but there wasn't a 'none of your ---smurfing--- business' option.
-
I guess Saint will have a fun time comparing the votes to our IP adresses :D
I'm surprisingly high, but that's because of the high Euro-Dollar rate. Plus damn taxes eat up loads of money here, you guys would be shocked.....
Oops, I voted wrong, thought it was US $. Add another 10.000 please :P

Forget all these personal questions about money, what i want to know is how many times during the day do you guys go to the bathroom? ;D
Come on guys, these polls are getting out of control. "Do you lock your door?" "How much money do you make?" ::)

On weekends, not so much, but during the workweek I drink a ton of water and pee fairly frequently.

nothing... :-[

Don't worry Tommy, you have a nice, snuggly pit bull to protect your money!
