Title: x-arcade alike control box (new qwestion)
Post by: Denverlatino on November 20, 2007, 09:37:29 pm
Hey guys, thanks for reading , im building an x-arcade alike control box so mi wife can play games on pc using the controller instead of a gamepad, she just dont like those, anyway,i dindt want'it to spend that much money  into it so i decide to hack the two gamepads i had, i did that and solder some cables with no problems at all, the only qwestion i have is; can i strip one of the gamepads usb cable so i can just atach the inner  cables to the other usb gamepad cable so i can have only one cable to plug to the pc or i might have to plug both cables on the pc?
Please any ideas are wellcome.
And sorry for y bad english  :dizzy:

You cannot simply connect the cables together.  You can run a single cable by putting a mini usb hub in your CP.   Plug in the 2 game pads and run the hubs cable to your pc.

i tried to put black vinyl with adhesive on top of the wood but i didn't like'it cus you could see the wood texture thru it , so i decide to took'it back off as you can see on the picture, now i will laminate the thing with a white plastic thing (don't know how its called right now) (polystyrene) ill post some more pictures of my advance.... :dunno

I'm rocky star, (actually an 80s Mexican wrestler)..... seriously , i like Mexican wrestling masks, I'm actually working on my next project a namco bartop cab with rotating monitor, about the cp , I'm waiting on some prints i order to make'it look nicer.

the hacked gamepads are a pain in the neck, and i was wondering if theres a way to build your own keyboard encoder, not hacking a keyboard but by actually buying some chips or some thing like that, or any ideas would be greatly accepted, thanks for reading and helping
