Title: order cut plexiglass online? or local in St. Louis, MO?
Post by: hohlraum on November 19, 2007, 01:06:56 pm
i'm having a hell of a time trying to find a place to purchase some grey-tinted plexi for my screen cover/bezel here in St. Louis, MO.  All of the home-stores just have the clear stuff.

anyone ever ordered pre-cut tinted plexi online or anyone in st. louis ACTUALLY PURCHASED cut plexi locally?

if so, where?

Mameroom designs offers pre-cut grey tinted (1/8" thick) plexiglas for our UAII cabinets.  We could possibly custom cut a sheet for you.  Please email sales@mameroom.com with the exact dimensions for a price.

This is for a UAII cabinet.  I just purchased a UAII kit from you guys a couple weeks ago.  I don't know/think that was available then and your new site says something about only ordering them with cabinets.  I'll send you an email.

Look up a custom "sign" shop in your area. One that does formed plastics, plexi etching, etc. (not a vinyl sign shop) Maybe an acrylic fabricator of some sort.
They may have a selection of the grey tented stuff you're looking for.
Probably cheaper than HD or Lowes type places anyways.

St. Louis sucks for getting plexi-glass cut.  I had some old drug addict at a Home Depot that kept messing up the cuts and trying to make me buy the stuff anyway.  I honestly felt we were about 2 or 3 more tense words away from a fist fight.

My advice?  Move as far away from St. Louis as you possibly can.

They're still sending me tax bills, I'm still coolly disregarding them.

I always had mine ordered to size from Martin Glass, Co.

You'll have to venture into Illinois, but like most things in Missouri - it's better in Illinois.
