Title: So whats the deal with Donkey Kong 3

Whats the point of Donkey Kong 3 though?

Donkey Kong = Save the girl
Donkey Kong jr = Rescue your dad
Donkey Kong 3 = Spray a gorilla up the butt with bug spray, protect your potted plants from insects all the while dodging coconuts?

Not sure why DK was there or why's he's mesing with Stanley's greenhouse, but I seemed to love the game in the 80s. More than Donkey Kongs 1 and Jr as a matter of fact. FYI I also prefer Discs of Tron over Tron, Samurai Shodown 2 over Samurai Shodown 1, and Ms. Pac-Man over Pac-Man ;D

For me, it reminds me of Halloween 3. Not really anything to do with the original, but SOME fun all the same.

The 3rd in a series is usually the anything goes of the bunch.

That said, I too prefer shooters and I certainly appreciate it more then falling of a frickin' ledge!!

After seeing King of Kong, I'm keen to get good at DK. Probably the first game I'll play for real when my cab is finally (ever?) made.

I don't know why the American version seems to have like 12 lives as default while the Japanese version has the standard 3. Also, I notice that there is a wording glitch on Jr. and I wonder if this is how it was???

Meh, that game was sweet and you know it. ;D I like to think of it as revenge for DK whooping ---my bottom--- so much arcade-wise.
