I would like to build a big buck hunter game with the single rifle (the original game i believe). Now I am new to this sort of thing. Can someone point me in the right directionfor building the cabinet (plans) where to get the game and how to set it up (software , etc). What about the rifle? where to source it?. I see alot of people on here have cabinets set up to play lots of different games...it would be cool to set up my cabinet to play multiple games. Thank you.

I am wondering if this topic would be better posted in another section of the forum? IM new here and have done some reading and know there is some shooting games and some neat stuff people have built here. I just have no clue where to start with this project?. Thanks again,

Here’s something else to think about. I played in an Extreme Hunting tournament. The tournament was in the Bison/shotgun levels. After a while I ended up memorizing where the patterns and levels. I was no longer using it to practice shooting, it was just another video games using muscle memory to play.
Even after I realized I was going to get tired of it I was still going to buy a hunting/shooting cabinet but after I saw this: Home Theater Complete Shooting Simulator with Projector (http://www.cabelas.com/link-12/product/0022706618429a.shtml)
I have also been reading about all the light gun accessories coming out for Playstation3, and Wii.
A hunting cabinet would be a lot of fun, but you’ll eventually memorize the patterns to all the levels. It will be a lot more fun to play those games on a wide screen or projector TV where you can buy new games when you get tired of the old ones.
If you really want to own one for some sentimental reason, buying the parts for the cabinet will cost you as much as buying a used cabinet. Unless you’ve already started collecting the pieces the best thing to do is to buy a working cabinet.

Thanks for the reply. That shooting simulator is very cool......I already have the projector / screen...do you think it would be possible to make a system based around that idea using my current screen?.

so I have been looking into this further and have found most light guns only work with a tube television. However I have found one handgun that will work with a projector, projection tv,lcd and plasma. But I am looking for a rifle style gun That will work on a projection tv or projector / screen setup and be compatible with a pc and all pc shooting games as the above mentioned handgun does.

you can always take the parts from the hand style and put them into a rifle style case.
