Title: FCE Ultra going SUPER fast
Post by: dommer on November 10, 2007, 07:54:35 pm
I'm using FCE Ultra in my cabinet, and it works great, with one small problem.  There is a key which I happen to have mapped to player 1's b button which causes the emulator to start running at light speed.  For example, in tecmo bowl, when you press this button, you run from the end zone to midfield in less than a second.  What is the purpose of this function, what is it called, and is there some way to disable it?  Thanks in advance!

It's a speed up button and its purpose is to quickly go through and intro or load a game quicker.

And you disable it through the User Interface menu.

I don't see anything in any of the menus about it.  Are you speaking of FCE Ultra in particular?  Can you point me to the correct setting?  I'm using .97, which has the escape to exit hack for use in mame cabs.

Try going to Config>Map Hotkeys... and disable it there.
