Hey all!
Anyone able to play Mr. Driller in MAME? I max out at 55% speed :o
-
Runs OK here at 100%, but in the PC version (abandon-ware FWIW) controls still seem more responsive.
-
I cannot get it to run and I have a fairly new machine. Too bad because I like this game...
-
Try using the Zinc emulator.
-
perfectly playable on a mediocre system running it on NullDC
-
And it runs perfect on my DC ;D...but I want the arcade version
-
Couple of options then...
1) Roll back to an older version of MAME where it works fine. I rolled one set back to .106 and it played fine
2) Wait for the MAME Devs to fix it
3) learn to code and compile your own version of MAME.
4) Try one of the other variants of mame like MAME Plus, etc...
Good Luck

OR 5 TRY ZINC WHICH PLAYS IT PERFECTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
:laugh2: :dunno

Yeah, run it under ZiNc and refer to this thread for more detail on how to fix your controls to work properly:

I just had a great game! Full framerate, no glitches (P4 3.2Ghz). I'm not very good but got to 289m. Zero problems with controls.
