Title: place to purchase arcade equipment in/around St. Louis, MO?
Post by: hohlraum on November 07, 2007, 11:41:08 am
I'm currently looking to purchase a 27" multi-sync arcade VGA monitor and was figuring that since shipping one of these would be so expensive maybe I should just consider seeing if there were any companies around st.louis that sold/serviced them.

any one know of any businesses in st.louis?

I don't know what he has but there is this guy in Florissant. http://www.arcadesandmore.com/ Their number is 314-838-1210. Talked to him once, seemed nice. Maybe he can steer you in the right direction.
Or you could plan a trip to Chicago, there is a Happs up there I think...Hope that helps..

Look in your local telephone directory Yellow Pages under the heading, "Amusement Devices".

There is a place on Dorsett road just west of Lindbergh that is selling old arcade games and pinball machines.  The owner does the restorations himself.  Not sure if he sells components or not.  Don't know the name, but I'm sure you could find it on Google or Yahoo or something.

I've talked to a couple local places and it seems like Shaffer Distribution is who I need to talk to.  They have distribution centers throughout the mid-west.  Wish these companies would respond to emails.  Join the 90's people! :)

That guy who owns the shop on Dorsett is a nitwit.  One look at him and you can tell he probably lives downstairs.  Anyway, I went in there looking for parts and what not, and found nothing.  He simply refurbs and sells machines.  He tried to sell me on some machine by saying "look, this one plays SIX classic games!!!"  I laughed at him and told me about my cab.  He doesn't like MAME.  Probably hurting his business.  Go in there and pick on him....  he he >:D
