Let me preface this by saying, I'm probably doing something wrong. I am trying to hook up a Red Board Golden Tee 2005 board. I connected everything up (I think) and all I get is a cycling of two screens. I have included what the screens look like. Did I miss something or is there maybe a HD issue?

So once you get the second screen fully loaded, does the screen blank out and then go back to the first screen? What kind of delay, etc.
Seems like it is rebooting itself - maybe a connector issue off of the main pcb. Try resetting all of your connections.

Could be a hard drive issue... if that's the POST, that would make sense.

Yes...after the screen that shows the version it goes to black and then right back into the other screen in a couple of seconds and the cycle begins again.

Sounds like you're going to need to send the board AND hard drive to the manufacturer for repair. Contact the tech support department at the manufacturer, www.itsgames.com and the techs will walk you through some tests to confirm. They will ask you to double check the power supply and measure voltages too. Some boards had a problem with a couple of the big square surface mount chips going bad. A local tavern owner had the same problem and he had to ship the board and hard drive back to the factory for repairs. Took about a month to get them back, but everything worked (and is still working).

Could also be a simple HD problem as well. If you know anyone close to you that has a GTG 05, see if they will test your HD for you. I had a client's machine that did that when the drive started to go wonky.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am hoping this is a HD issue. I will soon see as I ordered a new one today. It was reasonably priced so I would not be too much out if it didn't solve the problem. Here's hoping!

Hopefully it works out for you. Just a FYI, you should put your location in your profile, it makes it easier for people to help you if they know where you are.

I received the new HD today. It fixed the problem!! :applaud: Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. I knew I could count on you guys! I'm relieved...I didn't want to explain to the wife how the thing I paid "Too Much Money for!" needed to be sent off for repairs. At least that's ONE battle I won't have to face. Now onto the control panel connections. Thanks again!
