Title: Iso transformer a must for todays power?

So THe galaga that I sold the cab to had a pretty good monitor in it so I kept it, and now I'm going to put in into a ms pacman galaga reunion machine and get it in there and not only with the back door not close around the monitor frame, but there is no iso transformer in there, is an emi filer the same thing?  And is it a must that I put an iso transformer in there?

It all depends on the make and model of the monitor in question.
