Ok..today I installed my new Ultra360. All I am doing is using the USB connection. I did need to move my IPac2 a few inches. Well... now none of my switch joysticks detect. Tried to see if they would detect using WinIPac and they don't. It's wierd.. I have 2, 8 ways (1 for each player) and 1, 4 way. None of which detect now. Also, I haven't even plugged in the USB for the analog sticks yet. I looked at the connections to the IPAC and everthing seems to be solid still. Even if one wire was loose, I wouldn't loose all my joysticks.. right?

You wouldn't lose them all unless that one wire was part of your ground. I'd check all your grounds again, then the rest. If that don't work maybe try updating your Ipac firmware at www.ultimarc.com
Ya never know.

There is no firmware to update. This must be some coincidence, a loose wire disturbed maybe. Most likely a ground wire as suggested already.
If you are still stuck drop me an email and I am sure I can help: andy@ultimarc.com

Thanks.. I will re-check all my connections again more carefully, starting with the grounds.

Everything looks solid. Andy. just sent you an email. Think I will need your expertise on this one. Thanks.

Well do they work again if you disconnect the U360? I'd try disconnecting and connecting the U360 and see if it truly is the U360 causing the problem. Let us know what happens.

The U360's are not connected to anything just mounted. I have yet to connect them. When I do, I will only use the USB.

That definitely sounds like a bad ground then. Did you ever have anything connected to them or not?
-
Yeah, if the U360 is installed but not connected then its definitely not a computer or connection problem. Something got disconnected when you mounted the joystick.
Try removing the joystick and see if it starts working again. But like I said before, the problem is not the u360.

Yeah.... I knew that. I should have made the title of my post different. I did finally find the disconnected wire (after I cut all the zip ties off of the wires that were bundled together). It was a wire going to the IPAC LED header. Didn't even think to check that. I bought the control panel from slikstik.. so wasn't aware that they put all the 5V joystick cables together.. and connect them on the 5V pin. It must have really been hanging there.. since I was pretty careful when moving the IPAC. At any rate... all works well now. Just wanted to say thanks to Andy from Ultimarc for helping me. Talk about customer service.. I didn't even buy the IPAC from him :)
