Title: Sanyo 20EZV Tube Swap
Post by: ncflagg on November 02, 2007, 03:27:33 pm
I've swapped a tube into my Sanyo 20EZV chassis and have one small problem left. The end of the glass tube is a quarter of an inch longer or so than the original tube and the neckboard barely hangs on to the pins. In other neckboards I see that there is a hole for the end of the tube to protrude through but not this one. Is it safe for me to drill through the end of the neckboard? I see possibly 1 or 2 circuit tracks I may have to bypass so that part shouldn't be a problem.

Go for it.

Shouldn't be much in the way in that area.... just re-route it like you already mentioned.

I drilled through the board and bypassed one track. It worked fine. I should've used the small bit and drilled a bunch of smaller holes though.
