I just got a pair of Wico Series 500 sticks. Unfortunately, they didn't
come with any exploded/mounting diagrams like my old Happs did. I've
tried to take dimensions as best I can with a tape measure and the
diagram below shows what I've come up with.
Am I correct in assuming I need a 1.75" hole cut in my metal CP to fit
this kind of stick? That way the base would be flush the underside of
the CP, the 1/16" thin circular piece and the ball segment (1.5" wide)
would then fit rhough this hole.
Here's Wico's catalog page. The two sticks at the top of the page use
this kind of base:

Are my dimensions okay?

All of your dimensions are good. The boss diameter of my Suzo 500 actually measures 1.73", but that's close enough...
I would say that at a minimum you would want a 1.75" diameter hole for this joystick or probably a 1.875".
I have modeled this joystick and a few others at www.oscarcontrols.com/library.

Wow, thats a pretty useful page you've got there. I probably should have
checked it out before I designed my control panel.
Is there some kind of freeware viewer I can use to take a look at the DWG
and DXF files? Illustrator keeps trying to open them and I don't have any
kind of Autodesk software that might open them.
