I want to make my own spinner.
I've seen spinner mods from VCR parts, but was hoping someone could direct me to the best spinner mods so I can make some for my cab.
Thanks!

scroll up and click the arcadecontrols logo then on the left side click downloads then scroll down to the spinners mods and download them to get an idea of how they work and can be done.
I am going to try a few just to see how they turn out.

That looks real neat.
I have an optical mouse on my desktop. Just turned it upside down and spun a CD (label side) against it. It picked it up real good.
Might be a good use for one of those mini-cds.

There is one that is the 3rd from the bottom and one that is the 5th from the bottom. Spinner mods is not a sub-section. It's just listed under miscellaneous.

I used Doug Hansen's tutorial to make my own; works great!

I added a mod using half a yo-yo as a knob:

I made one of these with a hard drive bearing and an optical mouse mounted upside down. Works really well. I will post a pic later.

Anyone needing a HDD spindle... (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=38228.msg745165#msg745165)
The only reason they're not in the trash is that they don't take much space.

Have you looked at this thread? They built their own high resolution spinner.
