I saw that on the news last night...un-flipping-believable.....
-
I watched it a second time and the cause jumped right out at me - lazy ass defenders. The second that first guy flips the ball in the air every defender on that field not near the ball is supposed to locate the nearest offensive player and decleat him. That's standard football. You can't lateral to a player who is on his back.
-
That was frikkin ridiculous. I saw a link the other day, but didn't watch it. Obviously, the other team was not prepared for what to do in that situation - they kept getting lured farther and farther down the field. Well and the fact they ran out of gas... ;D

Yep, at that point it is a running game. Grab the nearest guy by the front of his jersey and start shoving him back or throw him down.

Standard tip/turnover drill. I didn't see anyone doing that at all, they're all running to the ball and hoping someone else will get it. When the ball is up for grabs, if you can't get the ball, make damn sure someone on the other team also can't get it.

If only the team had some players from this thread. Can you say Superbowl baby?
=J
-
Damn straight. It's only Division III. :laugh2:
-
That was retarded. ;D Oh my god, after like the first five I'm thinking, "JESUS CHRIST!!!" Little did I know that wasn't even the half of it.
-
I've seen 5 happen quite a few times... pretty much always results eventually in a fumble recovered by the defense, though, or a forward lateral that ends the play.
-
Remember the one that was college ball that had 7 laterals to win the game, including running through the marching band who had started on to the field?
-
CBS replays that practically every week. We couldn't forget if we wanted to...
