Title: Source for cheap and extremely small form factor computers
Post by: metahacker on October 28, 2007, 11:27:35 pm

I think some of you may find these very interesting.  They are not for everyone/everything.

http://www.norhtec.com/products/index.html

but this thing is only $120
(http://www.norhtec.com/products/mcjr/mcjr05.jpg)

but only 200Mhz... based on the SIS550... the evolution of the Rise MP6 CPU (as used in the Megatouch systems)

they have a 300MHz 486SX in that form factor as well .. :)
$85

a 500MHz AMD Geode for $250

and a VIA Eden ESP 1GHz and a 1.6GHz something or other for $500

interesting...

claims to be linux & windows compatible :)

Wow, very interesting... Seems they only sell direct? Anyone seen a review of one of their boxes?

I want to know where they got those cases from. I've got a few mini-itx machines that I would love to stick on the back of my lcd monitors.

I have a Kohjinsha laptop with a Geode 800Mhz processor. It can do Mame without problems. I'm defintely going to look into this for a mini bartop system.
