Title: A MARIO MAME ....
Post by: MAME nut on October 28, 2007, 12:52:39 am
FINALLY wrapped up a MAME project on an old "Extra Bases" cabinet.  My sons favorite game is Mario Brothers, so went with that theme.  Scott at mamemarquees.com did a great job modifying the C.P and Bezel for me.

Before and After PICS....

THANKS!!  It is the 2nd cab I built in our Gameroom.

Like many others, when I got into the MAME thing, I built a cabinet....but took the easy way out and put on a X-Arcade control panel (see pic).   It turned out great, but I knew that some day I wanted a trackball and spinner.  The Mario cab had a large enough CP to be able to do it.  It was more work, but well worth it!!

The whole control panel construction was the favorite part of my build.  That's where the real construction skills are in my opinion considering designing the art, building the actual cp, and actually planning and installing all the components.
