Title: Button presses repeating (too sensitive)
Post by: Agent Davis on October 25, 2007, 06:22:11 pm
Ok, so I've got my 20 awg wire wired up to my ipac.  On a few of the buttons one button press results in 2-3 actual signals being sent.  Example:  Hit my purple button once and I get 3 letter "C"s in my notepad.  I've swapped out the cherry switches on a few, still does it.  I'm sure some of you have experienced this.  Everything is wired where it should be.  Help?

Do you have a solid ground? Maybe it's jittering on you when you hit a button.

Maybe adjust your key repeat rate under Control Panel/Keyboard.  :dunno
What operating system, front end, etc are you running?

I agree with FWF, check your grounds.  I had similar problems with multi keyhits and other keys not working on my first CP.  Checked all my grounds and found a bunch of bad ones (bought a new crimper before replacing whole ground harness.)

Thanks guys, I believe it to be loose grounds as well.  I appreciate the feedback.
