After playing with my JLW-UM-8's for a few days, I can tell they are in serious need of an octagonal restrictor plate. I think someone posted a tutorial on how to use the GT-Y plates by cutting off the edges or something. Anybody know where that is? Couldn't find it in search.

this mod work only on U360
this will not act on standart microswiches JLW, engagement will be incorrect
buy circle restrictors GT-0

Somebody came up with a hack to make it work. That's what I'm looking for.

We have octagonal restrictors for the U360. I have not got around to adding them onto our website yet, will do tomorrow.

Are the circle restrictors worthwhile? I'm having trouble hitting true up,down, left, right without hitting diagonals.

bite the bullet and get some JLF sticks with the octagonal restrictor, you'll be glad you did.

Not possible. I JUST built my panel with the other joysticks, and I would have to trash the overlay to accomodate the odd size of the JLF sticks.

I am guessing that the overlay is stuck in place then? Let me see a pic of the top and bottom of the panel. Maybe I can come up with a solution.

Ok Let's see if we can save the Sabercade. Take and get the measurements from front to back screws and from side to side. Do it in millimeters. When I get home I'll check one of the JLF mounting plates that I have. If I am reading the Sawna catalog right they could be a straight swap. With the way you have them mounted using nuts and bolts as long as the mounting plates match up I don't see why you couldn't do the swap. You may even be able to use the bat tops from the JLM on the JLF shafts. LizardLick sells adapters that allow this.
-
I have Chad at LizardLick looking into this from what he says the mounting plates are different so it won't be a simple swap like I had thought. The way the GT-Y restrictor is setup it will not match the JLW stick. The bases of the JLW and JLF sticks are not compatible. Chad recomends you get the GT-O or round restrictors. At least it will even out the distance for the diagonals with the cardinals.
Let us know what you end up doing.

I was thinking about taking the existing plate off, grinding it out, and gluing a piece of PVC in there. Probably won't be the prettiest mod, but its something I can do this weekend without waiting for parts.
