Just saw these today. Not sure if anyone has reported on them before or has the scoop on these. Thought it was interesting that they used Mame in the title to advertise these figures. Also, it says Vol. 1 so I'm curious how many Vols the series will have. Just thought some of you out there would get a kick out of these. Cheers!

Somehow, Mario and friends just doesn't say "Mame"

I started a thread similar to this a short while ago...
plan to make a little diorama of Marvel vs Capcom...
easy enough to do, there's enough Marvel figures
to choke a horse and Street Fighter figures are still
around. Plus I scored a $1 Mega Man that is in-scale.
Will post pictures if I ever finish it... ;D

Sometimes the name is used to sell a product. Kind of like using Bruce Lee in the title to sell Chuck Norris tapes on Ebay.
I don't think it is that serious. Now if the figurines have MAME across their chest, and links to coincide...then there may be a problem.
At this stage, it is only a key name. Not a big deal in my eyes.

Heh, I actually have the Mario and Luigi toys and a Yoshi (not pictured there) sitting on my office desk right now.

I think in this instance the word is pronounced ma-me (ma may). I see it associated with several dolls that are sold.
