Title: Has anyone ever seen a Madden Arcade Football Game for sale anywhere?
Post by: Red on October 23, 2007, 10:42:39 pm
Or at Auction?  How much were they asking?

I'd love to get one, but the only ones I've seen that are for sale are from retailers and are super expensive.  I think there's actually a whole computer in there running the game.

Better yet, anyone here own one?

Last I went looking for one all I saw were the new ones from distributors going for ~$2500. It's only been out for a short while, so I doubt there's too many of them floating around at auction or on eBay. Definitely not going to find them for less than $1500. Cheaper (and a MUCH better value) to buy an extra XBOX 360 and throw it in a cab.

Yeah, that would be cheaper, but I like the arcade experience and the gameplay of Madden Arcade as opposed to the 360 version.

Do you know if they are still updating the game?  Last I saw it had 2006 rosters, but that could have changed as I haven't played it in a while because there are no machines around here. :(

Last time I played it was at Gameworks about 6-8 months ago and it definitely had last year's rosters then.  ;)

I just looked at Global VR's site and they don't even list it there any more so I don't think they're creating updates for it. I agree with you that it's fun, and is definitely different than the console game, but for the price you can get three Blitz cabs and a 360. And now that it looks like they've stopped releasing updates, it's probably even less worth it.

Just in case you really want to get one, it looks like Betson West may have a pre-owned in stock: http://www.betson.com/products/amusement/GLOM-022091U (http://www.betson.com/products/amusement/GLOM-022091U)
