Title: How to make:mounted Psu+transformer board???
Post by: TheDriver on October 23, 2007, 09:25:37 am
Without giving too much away about my next project I wondered if someone can give me some pointer's on how to build the PSU with the isolation transformer etc.. mounted onto a board. I have had a look at instruction's from this site: http://homearcade.org/BBBB/acwiring.html and they seem relatively easy to follow, but my problem is what part's do I need to buy? The list that is there is:

1 AC Line Cord AKA Power Cord
*Self explanatory, I got this one!!!

2 Fuse & Fuse Holder
*What fuse/fuse holder

3 AC Line Filter
*????

4 AC Distribution Block
*????

5 Switching Power Supply AKA Switcher
*This I have also!
6 Isolation Transformer
*????

Where would I get these item's (in the UK) and what are they all called so I know what I am asking for.

For reference as to what I am on about:

It's going into a JAMMA setup so I want to do it the right way without any ATX psu's etc...
I hope I have not been too vague either as to what I am after!

Regards.

Any ideas as to where I could buy these part's in the UK? I have tried maplin & none of them seem to be on the website, can't think of anywhere else to buy stuff like this. Thanks for the bob robert's link, I lost that in my bookmarks!

Regards.
