Title: Freebox V3.12 Public Demo Released.
Post by: Barry Barcrest on October 21, 2007, 05:32:51 pm
Ok i have had some requests to release a demo of V3.12 which is the current stable build of V3. Here it is, it's fully featured aside from the fact it will only run for 30 minutes but should give you enough chance to try out the features and see how it all works.

nice idea, you should also think about limiting the amount of albums it can display, say up to 24.

Well as you know i didn't want to charge at all so i want to offer full functionallity but just get people who are using it to chuck me some $$$'s it's only $25 that is cheaper than most things. I don't want to cripple the hell out of it. Plus it's speed with large libraries is one of the pluses.

Awesome Barry -

If anyone is on the fence and trying out jukebox software, I got nothing but good things to say about it.

Personally I doesn't like time limed demos which fell more crippled like just 30min...

Personal a nag (where you need to press a key on keyboard, not touch) in about 15 or 30 min would been better idea (and maybe a album limit). But it just a personal taste.

EDIT: About the nag, use a graphics nag, not a windows dialog, since these dialog can been easy passable by a autohotkey script. So there must been a some second wait time before it can been "disabled".

I personally don't use the timed version because I use the full deal. I love the app and use it all the time.
