Title: I'm modding my Wii today
Post by: AlanS17 on October 21, 2007, 10:42:02 am: I've got a guy coming over a few hours to mod my Wii. Cross your fingers that he doesn't jack it up! :)

I'm using an official WiiKey so I'm expecting good results.

Post by: shmokes on October 21, 2007, 06:13:49 pm: Does the WiiKey work with dual-layer media? If not, I'd go with the Cyclowiz. Nothing is out on dual layer so far, but the original Xbox had loads of games released on dual-layer media and I don't see why the Wii would be any different.

Hahaha oh he was ok. He didn't leave me with a $250 doorstop so I'd have to say he did just fine. ;)

Must better than he idiot who reached into the back of his Pac-Man machine today and cracked the neck on his monitor... Oh wait... That was me... :P

Post by: Dervacumen on October 25, 2007, 11:19:50 am: I've rented / played a few. Depending on your taste, Super Paper Mario, Zelda Twilight Princess, Mario Party 8 have good replay value. The Mario Party 8 mostly because it's most accessible to my 4 year old, not because it's fantastic.
I did not enjoy Spiderman 3, Cars, Wario Ware, or MySIMS. Wii Play is also fun if you're trying to enjoy time with a little kid. Otherwise it gets old fast.
I've not gotten around to Metroid Prime yet but indications are it's fun.

Trauma Center 2 is about to be released, as is Super Mario. If you didn't catch Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube, run, don't walk, to your nearest retailer. Mercury Meltdown is apparently good, but I've never played it. Some other good ones are coming for the holidays that escape me at the moment.

What's the deal with Trauma Center? I thought it was a repetitive bore. To be honest mario and Zelda can't really impress me either.

I love Resident Evil. Kororinpa is nice too (I say better than Mercury meltdown).
