Title: Led Wiz - a little help needed
Post by: diverdown on October 21, 2007, 07:46:54 am
Loadman (if you read this), First of all the app you made for the led wiz is ace.
I didn’t even need to read any distructions…(he says even though he cant get it to work 100%)… I programmed my ledwiz and booted up mala and voila. Control panel looks sweet. I was wondering how I was going to inform the ledwiz of which controls to light up for which games

The little thing knew all by its self 

I now have one problem, which I cant solve searching BYOAC.

When I boot up the PC and boot straight to mala it gives me an error “LED_WIZ PLUGIN ERROR: Config file not located at :plugins\ledwiz.cfg”

I have the file located as c:\emulators\mala\plugins\ledwiz.cfg.

I also copied it to c:\emulators\mala\ledwiz.cfg
I also copied it to c:\ c:\emulators\mala\plugins\ledwiz\ledwiz.cfg

It still has the error. If I click ok and load up mala and then exit mala and then restart it manually then the ledwiz works.

What have I done wrong? :dizzy:

Thanks

diverdown,

how did you tell mala to launch at windows start up? through the mala config or through a shortcut?

can you try this:
- create a shortcut to c:\emulators\mala\mala.exe
- make sure the start-in directory is: c:\emulators\mala\
- once you create the shortcut, see if it works.

tell us what happens...

Might be the way mala is telling windows to launch on startup.

i will give that a go. I am using mala 8 as I have had some bugs with 9

i was using the "start with windows" check box. but will try the start menu shortcut.

Yeah...

There was an updated version (probably not on the mala website) that addressed to 'working directory' bug when launching straight into MaLa..

I will search for that post:

here it is:

now using the latest plugin file and the latest mala

- still no good.   It was working with mala 7 ot 8 (without the ledwiz)

also - should I have anything showing in the Hardware tab - i only have the ledwiz so I assume not.   The plugin shows and the leds light up properly.......  but i cant find any options to play leds at random during screen saver etc...

I think there is a missunderstanding here.

1) This plug-in update is to fix the problem with the led-wiz plug-in not finding the ledwiz cfg file when you boot staright into mala on windows start...  Nothing to do with the screensaver.

2) Plug-In options (like the led-wiz) You need to run the Configuration program that is supplied with it. MaLa config does not have options for Plug-ins
