Well here is the deal. I have a a 27" dotronix monitor that works awesome but its just sitting on the ground beside my cocktail cab. It came in a big metal case to stack other monitors on it. I would just leave it in the box but it takes up way too much room so I took it apart to install.
The only thing holding it in place is a metal ring around the screen with half inch dog ears sticking out on the corners. Can these possible hold up the monitor with the screen facing up? Can I put some padded supports under the tube to support it? :dunno
This is the last big step in finishing my cab. Please help!

I have a billabs 27" and mine is mounted in 1" plywood by 6 bolts going through the ears

Is your monitor tube being held in place by just a metal ring?
Im afraid that it will fall out of the metal support. :banghead:

This is mine, it's being held by these ears.
