Title: PC Case/Power supply question
Post by: ahofle on October 19, 2007, 02:00:55 pm
I'm in the process of putting together a new gaming PC and I'm going to be building from scratch this time around.  I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to power supplies though.  I found a case that I really like here:

And this power supply is well rated and cheap:

This is probably a really dumb question, but since that case has the power supply located on the bottom, would I just flip over the PS so the fan is on the top?  I can't tell how much room is below the PS slot.  Or do I need a different PS?

IIRC, An ATX Power Supply can only be mounted one way.  Looking how the screw holes align in the back will tell you which way to put it in.  Also, they are all about the same size by the ATX spec so it will fit.

BTW, Looks like a nice case.  I've got a few Antec ones as well although not that nice.  I don't know much about that PS, but I just picked up a Corsair PS that is working fine so far.
