Title: Gold mine of new and real cheap arcade parts?
Post by: rackoon on October 14, 2007, 09:57:41 pm
Here is the story. I bid and won a 2 1/2 new atari track ball from a guy who use to work for a company who serviced a place called Boomers, in Livermore CA. I got it for $35.00 then asked hom if I could pick it up in Manteca Ca, because I was going to drive by this place to go to school. He sent me an email and said that would be fine and he gave me his phone #. Well, I called him and he said he has boxes and boxes of these things and he just wants to get rid of them.

Not only that, but he has a bunch of cabs and monitors in his garage that he just wants gone. He said that his old company that closed down told him he could have the remaining stock in warehouse if he just got it out before the final rent was due. Well now his garage is full of this stuff and he wants it gone.

Yea, I know what your thinking but, I am going to his house on Thursday to pick up my track ball and I wiil be able to tell you what he has for sale. Yo divemaster or ponyboy, if this guy is lagit you should buy up this guys stock and pass the savings to the comunity plus make a profit. He wanted me to buy all this stuff but I just dont have the time, Oh, by the way, all trackballs are 2 1/2 and blue, but they are the Happs ones. If you buy them in bulk you might get them for less that $35 a peice.

Ah fond memories....! When I was a kid they had some kick a** waterslides in Manteca, with a nice arcade in the complex as well. Don't think it is there anymore however...

In spanish, Manteca means "Pig Fat" or "lard."  ;D

I am interested in one of the trackballs as well. If he has enough stuff at a great price it might be worth a trip down from Reno.
