Hi!
This is my first post in this excelent forum, but i've been reading here for a long time now!
I've seen you guys solving a lot of problems, so i'm trying my luck here :)
My question is:
Can anybody help me to get the full game names in mamewah, while using mame32plus??
The reason i would like to use mame32plus is that it has hyscore save and the option to remove the nagscreen build in.
And mame32plus has the option to tune every game for itself!!
With mr. Do for example i would disable waitvsinc so the sounds doesn't stutter and with other games i would leave it on, so the game looks better...
I have mamewah set up to play mame32plus and it works perfectly.
But my problem is that i can't get the full game names to show up in mamewah...
All i get are the romnames and they are hard to read and navigate through...
With the normal version of mame the game names do show up...
I've been searching the net for weeks now, but no luck so far...
Does anybody of you have a clue??
Thanks in advance,
Hans.

Well, what version of Mame32 plus are you using?
My favorite way is to download the dat file for the version of mame i'm using. You can get it here. http://www.logiqx.com/Dats/MAMEBeta/MAMEBetaHistory.php just make sure you download the (cm) version since the (rc) version wont work. Then modify your ini file to point to your dat and change list_generation_method to rom_folder_vs_dat_file.
### List Generation Settings ###
rom_path e:\VideoGames\mame37\roms
rom_extension zip
dat_file C:\videogames\mame37\MAME 37.dat
nms_file auto:[emuexepath]\[emuexename].nms
catver_ini_file auto:[emuexepath]\catver.ini
list_generation_method rom_folder_vs_dat_file

Thanks, Gonzo!!!!
This is what i was looking for!
Works like a charm!
I'm using mame32plus!plus! 0.119 from http://mame.emu-zone.org/
And with this way i don't have to compile each version, so that i can use hyscore save. But i can keep up to date with the latest version :)
Bye,
Hans.
