You should add Windows XP made with Nlite.

Why did you join win2000 and winXP?  What about Vista? winME?  (okay, maybe not ME ;))

In my books, 2000 & XP are as different as XP & vista.  Of course, I'm very big on inputs: mame & XP can do multiple mice & multiple keyboards as separate inputs, mame & 2000 nope.

I agree that 2000 and XP should be split. 2000 is just as stable, but you can't do nearly as much to make it boot fast as you can with XP. The upside to 2000 is that it doesn't have the online registration bit, so you can run it on a couple machines without trying to run a cracked version or other trickery if you need to.

I have 2 running XP and 1 running 2000.

I've messed with everything except Linux. i have a pc that needs to be put in the Dynamo cab running Win 98. The Pac cocktail will run DOS, The Xevious will run probably '98, and once the Jungle King is done, it will get the '98 machine and the Dynamo will get my old XP desktop machine that I currently use with my desktop CP.

For emulation purposes it's the other way around. You remove everything you don't need. And you create a version of xp that's very light on resources. That's the only way i'm able to use it on my 400mhz pc.

I agree, my cabinets run a basic XP install no upgrades etc since it's not needing internet connection. Actually the only thing I upgraded on mine was the video drivers. Machine starts and closes faster.

I'm using XP 2005 Media Centre Edition.

It has SP2 built in and actually runs well.
