Hey-Hey, ALL (yes ALL) my cabs, each and every single one of them, I got from my home country The Netherlands. I do not dare to go into Darth Nuno's terretories :P
Darth: Fantastic catch.....another great reason for a re-visit. Shame you missed my thread about the Galaxian going to that Retrocomputer fair. It was a really nice day. I got the first serious offer for it while I was still rolling the cab inside :) ! Some 2 or 3 other guys seriously asked what I wanted for it......just for fun I asked €1000,- and I think one actualy would have paid it.......but of course it's not for sale. You don't sell your kids either do you ? ;)
I hope everyone is ready/willing/able to download a 130 Mb video to see this roadtrip....maybe put up some pics for the poor fellows with slow internet connections ?

ill just pass on my info on nuno to customs in that case :D
the vids 130 meg!?! , no wonder my computer fainted!!

You must have forgotten that the borders between the EU countries (and yes, however much the British hate it, they ARE part of it, well sort-of, in their own way ;) ) have been "removed". Customs couldn't care less about those cabs :)
-
Yes... I was a little bit affraid the first time I got a cab from UK... but there's no problem at all with these old video games (except UK is losing each time I go there a little bit of their 'retro-arcade-heritage' 8))
-
Bwahhh, I'd call it balancing things :D
-
i wish the borders were as open as you say, id be over to holland 'shopping', once a fortnight, but believe me they may not care what goes out, but they ---smurfing--- well care about what comes in. :D
i love being part of europe though, it means i have seven political representatives as opposed to just six.
-
Yeah, but that's a typical UK thing....not the other way around or between most of the other EC countries...
I sympathize with you :)
However, what would be the problem taking an old cab into the UK from the mainland ?
You still are entitled of free goods movement within the EU aren't you ?

Ok, let's start to work on this one...
Atari Euro Model :

Two boards :
- [ A ] BOARD / BATTLE ZONE AUX BD

- [ B ] BOARD / 6502A ANALOG VEC GEN

The usual Audio Regulator board....

The power supply ... full of dust :?
Ok, let's power on the game :
- Nothing on screen (but the tube is powered)
- 1 high tone
- 1 low tune
Check out the doc :

Ok, the problem is during the self procedure, so that's the reason I can't see anything on the screen... The monitor display things AFTER the self-test...
Let's pull off the boards, in order to localize the *bad* ram(s ?) :
