Apart from Saints' Masterpiece, I'm looking for a good book on arcade (video) games.
Any suggestions ?

I'm reading a great book at the moment called "High Score!: The Illustrated History of Electronic Games" (http://www.amazon.co.uk/High-Score-Illustrated-History-Electronic/dp/0072231726/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/203-7528890-9593559?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191729109&sr=8-1 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/High-Score-Illustrated-History-Electronic/dp/0072231726/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/203-7528890-9593559?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191729109&sr=8-1))
It's not just about arcade games, but it deals with the people behind the revolution and how it all started.
Loads of pics, and great detail. I would highly recommend it for anyone on this forum.

Apart from Ratzz suggestion (which I also own and recommend), there's the short but interesting Arcade Fever (http://www.amazon.com/ARCADE-FEVER-Guide-Golden-Video/dp/0762409371/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-3762821-3898868?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191763069&sr=1-1) and The Ultimate History of Video Games (http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-History-Video-Games-Pokemon/dp/0761536434/ref=pd_sim_b_shvl_title_1/105-3762821-3898868).

Thanks guys !
Which of those comes closest to a "catalogue" of arcade video games ?

"High Score!: The Illustrated History of Electronic Games" has loads of arcade pictures and info on arcade machines, but it isn't a dedicated catalogue of arcade games as such.
A large part of the book covers arcade game history (as you would imagine) but it covers everything electronic really .. including home computer games and consoles.
I have to say though, that it is a very fine collection to anyones library of books on the subject.
If you follow this link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/reader/0072231726/ref=sib_dp_pt/026-4805892-0216455#reader-link you can have a peek into the book and view it's contents.
HTH
Edit: Apologies for stretching the forum with the links!

While opinions vary, I like Supercade (http://www.supercade.com/) as a nice, bright coffee-table-style book.
Hidden amongst tons of MAME screenshots are some interesting articles and the book really is nicely done.
Not any new info, but it is an attractive book that is fun to flip through. I just wish that Van had ripped off the KLOV cabinet pics as much as she did the MAME screenshots.
