Title: Freebox V3 released to GA
Post by: JackTucky on October 05, 2007, 06:40:59 pm
Just in case anyone doesn't know, Barcrest released V3 GA of his great jukebox software.

You can check it out at:

http://freeboxjukebox.com/ (http://freeboxjukebox.com/)

Barry's been working hard on the release and it looks great.

There are some real power users over on his forum giving  Barry lots of new ideas and making sure he doesn't sleep.

If you've been considering using his software, or you haven't checked it out in awhile, now is the time to try it out.  Also, the skin tool is working great, and there are lots of users creating skins.

Hmmm, not sure about multiple installs.

The V3 install that  I have doesn't require a license code, so I guess once you buy it you are free to do with it what you want (except distribute it).  But I'm not Barry, so you should double check with him.   You might want to post over at http://www.freeboxjukebox.com/Forums/index.php (http://www.freeboxjukebox.com/Forums/index.php)

As for bugs, yes, Barry fixed this version up nicely.  He is active on his forum and responds to any new bug fixes pretty quickly.

It will not play protected files. The M4a ones should play however. You would get a quicker response posting over on the freebox forum.
