Title: ipac not regestering in mala until mouse click
Post by: diverdown on October 05, 2007, 04:18:33 am
I have just set up a 2 way cab. I am having a intermittant (1 in 4) trouble. When i boot the cab up then 1 in 4 times the controlls will not work (cab boots to mala) until the mouse is clicked once.

What gives?

Ipac2 is connected via PS2... will swapping to USB make this go away?

??? So you are saying if you unplug the i-pac and replace it with a keyboard then this never happens?

i had a similar problem with my minipac, i had the jumpers set so power was going to it when the computer was off, changed the jumpers so that wasn't a case, and its worked fine since.

might be worth a try with the ps/2 ones.

ahhhh

the cab is at friends house now.. will get him to try. I think it may have not done so. I left it with a pass through kb connected. I believe the pass through would not work also, but seem to remember that the num lock key worked, but controlls didnt.

i will get him to try some options.

and also   Are there jumpers that can be set.... i cant remember a jumper

same here

not always

but often

enough to be annoying
see 'mala issues' thread i posted in software section for a list of about 5 issues that seem to happen in mala.

seems like a focus issue - especially after exiting games

I too have that same annoyance. I believe the problem is that the Mala frontend becomes a background window, you know the non-active window in the background. And you have to press the mouse button so it clicks on it making it once again the current active window. Rather annoying.
