Title: MAME SETTINGS WITH LCD TOPGUN

I've recently acquired two LCD Topguns with the intention of using them with MAME. I have installed the Gun2mouse driver3.2 intended for use with the gun, and have successfully calibrated it using the calibration tool it comes with. I have even used it as a mouse, so I know it works.

Tthe only thing is, I cant get it to work with MAME or MAME32. Does anyone know what flags I need to check in MAME.ini, or in the case of MAME32, which boxes to tick in the 'default game options'?

I have tried various settings, setting lightgun to 1 and mouse to 1 etc, but just can't get it to work. Does anyone have an .ini file I can copy? I am using MAME 0.118 or MAME32 0.119.

You have to use SMOGS Guncon driver, the ems ones are crap. They will work flawless with smogs.

Set the following in your mame ini.

lightgun 1
lightgun_device lightgun

THE SMOGS DRIVER AND THE MODIFIED DRIVER BOTH WOULDN'T RECOGNISE THE GUNS AT ALL.

I DID REINSTALL THE NORMAL DRIVER, AND CHANGED THOSE SETTINGS IN MAME, BUT IT RECOGNISES THE GUNS WEIRD. FOR INSTANCE,PLAYER 1 TRIGGER IS  RECOGNISING AS 'NONE' WHEN I TRY TO RECONFIGURE IT, AND BY DEFAULT IT RECOGNISING THE MOVEMENT AS PLAYER 2'S CURSOR. ANY IDEAS?

SOMEONE MUST HAVE THESE WORKING............

I don't see how Smogs gun2mouse drivers did not work for you, make sure you completely uninstall EMS's before installing smogs, after everythings uninstalled plug in your gun, windows will search for a driver, point it to the smog one and it will work, mame automatically loves the smog one and you won't have all those problems. Theres a tutorial somewhere in the 100 page forum about this gun from Sky or something that shows you exactly what to do. I went through hell originally with these guns, if you uninstall everything and plug in the gun and it finds a driver automatically then you didn't uninstall properly have to take that driver out of you pc wherever its hiding, just deleting the ems directory doesn't cut it if I remember right

Can anyone confirm they are using their LCD Top Guns flawlessly in 119?  If so, what driver are you using?

Working perfect here: 2 (or 3) LCDTopGuns with Smog Drivers and WindowsXP.

Thanks - loaded up Smog's driver and now working great with 119 and XP on a 28" LCD monitor.
