I'm not a tax guy but I'd guess you can use it as a tax shelter if you get a receipt.

What?  It's a charity fundraiser.  What's so disgusting about that?

Wash that off and the X-box might actually be worth something.

I don't know why, but I find that signature hilarious for one of the richest men on the planet.
Reminds me of mine in 3rd grade.

Is legible handwriting a bad thing?

There's a couple of errors in that sentence but I'm sure your handwriting is impeccable.

Q. Is there a letter of authenticity?
A. Microsoft is providing a letter of authenticity that Bill Gates has signed this console. To our knowledge this is the only one he has signed.

This sentence bothers me.  Microsoft didn't already provide it?  And I agree with others...that signature just doesn't have the authentic look to it.  What is authentic?  I don't know.  It's an intangible thing I guess.

Why sign the front of the console?  Why not the top (or side or whatever you want to call it) where there's much more room for a real signature?  Why that miniscule space between the gold logo and memory slots?

How did deal-monger be the one person to come to possess this console?  What if he was duped?  First thing I'd do when I got this console would have the certificate checked for authenticity.  Until then, my money'd be in escrow or something.

im not the hugest fan of microsoft, but in defence of bill what has your academic level got to do with pretty hand writing? the term 'college drop out' seems very derogatory to me. i thought he actually chose not to finish uni because he was already making a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- load of money? so what does it matter?

he signed the face, so when the console breaks, you can just swap the face to the new one :applaud:

Yeah . . . staying in college would not have been a very good move for him.  College is meant to open doors.  A #1, he was already brilliant, probably moreso than any of his professors.  But more importantly, what door could college possibly have opened for him that would be more important than Microsoft?  He needed to be spending all his time planting the seeds for controlling the entire computer industry RIGHT THEN, or come harvest time he wouldn't have a crop and it would be too late to plant.  Go to college to for the opportunities it makes available to you.  But don't skip out on your most important opportunities out of some blind belief that everyone needs to go to college to amount to anything.  He's far smarter than any of us, and many of us are college grads. Hell, I'm working on my third degree right now.
