I have a few questions open to anyone with an opinion.
Are touch screens worth their cost? I think I saw them ranging from 300 and up.
Whats the best juke software to use with a touch screen?
How are those add-on touch screens you can get for LCD's for roughly 150?
thanks.

Yes, yes, and yes.
I think touchscreens are worth it. I use Freebox by Barcrest. Also, I have the add on and it is fantastic. I am currently making the housing for the touchscreen as it didn't fit back in its original case with the add on. You can read all about it in my announcement thread:

my opinion... touchscreens are a must!!! i just bought a brand new 19" t/s for under 300$ shipped! and there are those used elo 15" monitors on ebay right now for 150$ so keep shopping, youll find the one you need in your price range.
-i too use freebox and love it! perfectly designed for the touchscreen and some damn good lookin skins to choose from too.

hey,
where did you grab that touchscreen?

Touchscreens add a bit of zip to your jukebox. Even restoring an older radio or juke a touchscreen can be made to fit in. Having built a juke with buttons and one with a touchscreen the touchscreen has had alot more interest from visitors and more overall use.

You have to go touchscreen really if you can afford it. I used a digital jukebox that worked with a keypad and it was no better than using a CD based juke, I couldn't search or anything like that. Using a touchscreen lets you have more functions in an easy to use format that large collections of buttons just cannot achieve. Also it just looks 10 times cooler.
