Title: arcadeVGA v1.3 r9200 HELP
Post by: david656 on October 01, 2007, 11:59:10 am
i have a old arcadeVGA and am trying to get it to work ! it has VGA outport and yellow RCA port (TV-OUT) so i TV outed to a old scart tv and try and display bios, it appears in thin  lines in black and white and its totaly un readable.

i don't want to connect it to a PC monitor encase that VGA port is arcade monitor only

its a AGP card and im using ARCADEOS and DOS mame for the minute.

the only problem being is i have no way of obviously installing drivers and when the AGP card is in the onboard is cut off

how do i get a picture from this thing !

There is information on using a SCART RGB TV with ArcadeVGA here:

Hopefully you are connecting to the VGA port not the TV-OUT port which behaves like a TV-Out on any regular card (ie TV interlaced res only).
Using the special cable connected to the VGA port, the TV will behave exactly as an arcade monitor as long as you can adjust the TV picture size down to eliminate overscan.

right, i cannot make up a cable yet as i have no means of figuring out what wire go's to what pin as multi meter broke.

i was trying to install the card via the very blurry TV out and decided to screen shot and save it, shut down restart on PC monitor and see what the error message was. the message was saying drivers have not found the card its looking for.

also my searching around i have found that my arcadeVGA is the first model made ! (i think) and that the CD is ver 2.2      i managed to get and download version 2.1 but that didn't work either. could someone send me the earliest drivers made to see if that will recognise the card?

thanks

its a AGP card (well it fits in the AGP slot !) its got RCA yellow TV-OUT and a VGA port which is for the arcade monitor. on the card its self there is a jumper for NTSC or PAL. thats about all i really know except for the title. OOOOO i supose i need drivers version 1.3 ! DUH!!! ok if you have them can you please send me a link thanks :D:D:D

yes i did, i will try to get you a pic asap

but the card reads as follows

R9200 64mb
V1.3   128mb

on the back 'powered by ATI'

F-470004-04795-10AB

P&Q
0425 CW-194V-0
