Hey guys,
For my first cab project I am going to use LCD TFT 19". I am using the UAII plans for the cabinet (no doubt I will have to make some slight alterations to fit the 19" TFT.)
What would be the best way to mount the LCD?
Thanks guys.

I assume it has a stand on it? You can remove the stand and use the bolt pattern for the stand to mount it.

Here is a pic of my 17" LCD

The 4 bolts you see in the picture is what held the stand on.

If your monitor does not have a stand mounted with screws they sometimes have a vesa mount on the back with 4 screws mounted in a 3 inch square. Remove these screws and use the screw threads to mount your LCD to to a back board with longer screws.

I've seen people use pieces of aluminum as straps to hold the lcd in place. I liked that one the best for when you can't bolt directly.

I set mine up pretty much the same way as Lew.

Ahh! You used L brackets on the side. Brilliant! I'll do that next time too.

I actually went a totally different route with mine.
I don't have pics but I could post if interested. I actually have mine on a shelf of sorts. I can move the shelf up or down depending on if i wanted the monitor in a vertical or horizontal orientation.

I wasn't 100% sure I was going to be happy with the LCD so I wanted it easy to change. If you look just above where my power supply is, you can see a straight line of paint. That was from the monitor shelf I can throw in there to use a standard monitor. Would have to create a new foamboard bezel to conceal the edges of the smaller screen, but the cab is deep enough and the outer bezel is tinted and will work with either setup.
Ended up liking the 19" LCD much better than the 15" CRT.
