Title: Looking for vendors in Toronto, Buffalo, or Las Vegas
Post by: SgtSlaughter on September 27, 2007, 12:52:20 pm
I'm looking for vendors located in Toronto or Buffalo or in the surrounding area.  I want to pick up some parts (ie trackball, couple U360s, pushbuttons, possibly keyboard encoder etc...).  If anyone could help direct me it would be appreciated.  I've checked all the vendors online and most seem like they are in the states (and I've been hit hard with custom charges before ... ie $100 for shipping a Wii from the states), so I want to avoid shipping as much as possible.

I'm also heading to Vegas soon, which I know there is a HappControls there so that will probably be one of the best places to go, but they seem so expensive compare to other places...

Thanks

Note: I would post in Buy/Trade/Sell forum but I'm still on Newbie status.

Amusements Plus is here in Rochester, they are an excellent resource.  They carry pretty much the entire Happ line.

Do these vendors handle U360s?  I wouldn't think so, but who am I to know?  Have you looked into shipping costs from Andy at Ultimarc?  They always seem very reasonable to me considering they're coming from the UK, plus DHL seems to be very quick.

The 360s probably are best from Andy but DHL to Canada is full of surprises.  Sometimes it comes in no fuss no bother.  Other times there is a trumped up import charge that greatly increases the cost of shipping.  Same as UPS does all the time to Canada.  If you get Andy to mail it to you you will not run into any of the DHL import charges.  Worst case Canada post will take their $5 fee and GST.
